 the shin pads cover your knee too, that would be redundant.

 They should make a pair of the knee pads without the screen printing. I have a pair of Race Face Digs and they leave green paint on my top tube.

 661 kyle straight, or whatever they're called now. Can't recommend them enough, and the only screening they have is a white 661 logo on the knee.

flag stever (Dec 13, 2011 at 14:47)
 Well, I can't say whether that's a good price for shipping to UK or not, but they want the same price for shipping to Canada. I would expect that shipping withing the same continent would be cheaper than overseas, but apparently not. Their shipping costs take a good deal and ruin it.

flag MTB-RnD (Dec 13, 2011 at 15:23)
 $35 for a set of pads to Canada. To get a cheaper rate go with USPS...just hit the "Live" chat. Shipping rates are passed on from UPS on the website.

 god i dont want to have a look for the price for shipping to New Zealand :O

flag stever (Dec 14, 2011 at 7:37)
 @MTB-RnD:
I got a price of $48 because I was looking at shin, elbow, and vest. UPS is such a rip-off. The only way the shipping would actually be reasonably priced is if it included customs/brokerage fees, but the UPS's website isn't clear on that.

Edit:

Also, I don't see anywhere on the website for a "live chat" to enquire about USPS. Just an email contact section.

 It's on the lower right corner. It is a button marker, "Chat with Salesperson".

Your best option for shipping is to call: (541) 201-8798

 with ups, you pay customs fees when the product is over $50 i believe..

flag smike (Dec 14, 2011 at 11:02)
 Also, with UPS, you get charged brokerage fees. However, UPS does not disclose how they "calculate" their brokerage fees. I have been charged brokerage fees up to 40% of the value of the package.

 I purchased something online once, either Jenson or Pricepoint, and they had their shipping charges worked out so that you paid your customs duties up-front, so nothing was due on delivery. I can't remember the shipper was though, FedEx or UPS.

flag smike (Dec 14, 2011 at 11:32)
 Jenson does that. And I think they ship via FedEx. Definitely not UPS. It's nice to not have any surprises when the package arrives at your door!

 @nstraffic94

There was an anomaly in your basket. It double charged you. So sorry, your shipping should be around half or so. Give her another try.

Everyone,

We have done some homework. A lot of items have been moved down in box sizes for UPS. The Slope guards are about 13" long and don't really fold very well. Hacks ship easy. Assaults don't fold...but we are packing the orders into the smallest box we can. The UPS rates are straight from UPS...we have NO handling charges.

 Looks like their shipping to Canada includes the cross border customs charges. UPS and the other courier companies charge $35 to do the paperwork. USPS charges $5.I just refuse to buy stuff cross border unless they ship it by post.

flag smike (Dec 14, 2011 at 11:03)
 I find that UPS is the only one that does this. I have had no problems with FedEx or Purolator. One time I got charge over $80 in brokerage fees for a $200 package with UPS.
